Woman: Welcome to the one minute rundown on the JanSport Odyssey.
Man: The Odyssey is one of our best selling day hiking packs. It's been in JanSport's line for years and it's been updated with a lot of great new features.
Woman: One of the features we really like on the Odyssey is this great padded backpack here. JanSport uses feature called "BioVent" on their shoulder straps and additionally, "VenTech" on their back panels. What this does is it allows for air movement and air flow on the back. And additionally, it conforms slightly to your back making it really comfortable to carry.
Man: The Odyssey also has great organization. It's got a very large main compartment. It's also got a front compartment here for additional storage with an organizer panel on the inside. It's got a daisy chain for quick loops. A lot of people like to carry their Nalgene bottle and hook it to the daisy chain. It's also got dual side water bottle pockets. If you like to carry your water bottle in the more traditional way, this will fit store bought water bottles very neatly. And side compression straps here. Then, once you've got the bag packed up, you can tighten these down and it will really help keep your load nice, and secure and stable against your back.
Woman: Additionally, if you want to carry a hydration sleeve, there is a dedicated compartment for that hydration sleeve. Now granted, the bag does not come with that hydration bladder. But, it's there for your use.
Man: Yep. This will accept any standard camelbak Nalgene reservoir that you can find on the marketplace or your local outdoors shop. And there's a nice port here on the front; you run the hose out through, you can clip it on to your shoulder strap and you've got hands free hydration.
Woman: One nice feature, additionally, on the back of the bag is this padded waist belt, which is great for distributing the load on your hips to carry the load more comfortably.
